I have many questions. I’d love to find out the energy consumption of this facility compared a human operated one. How much do the groceries cost compared to a traditional grocery store? How much lithium and other resources that are in very high demand are required to keep this facility operational. How many less jobs does this facility create compared to a traditional one. How much stock can one of those totes hold? It didn’t look like much. How many square feet was that facility compared to a traditional one. It seems like it needs to be much bigger. From what I’ve seen in this video I don’t think this is likely to be the way we do things in the future.

I think there's a missing distinction here between "language can affect the way you _can_ think" versus "language can affect the way you think about things in practice". And I'm not sure all of that can necessarily be explained away just by cultural differences.

I don't know why it mostly is just a normal youtube video (an annoying one but still normal)? Besides the odd 'brain back-up' thing what is so futuristic? They were using sound effects that are UA-cam-meta game-wise, ancient. And so is the style of video. The video would have been better if it took more liberties to do something real weird to project what 'UA-cam prank videos' will look like in 2028. Perhaps by spreading rumours of someone by using AI to get them fired from their job (sick prank bro), or something about the UA-camrs pranking protestors of the new federalization of the EU - you something a bit scrt byt still reasonable. Sure this video is 5 years old and have missed out on so many events informing what I'll be expecting from the future that Tom and his team couldn't even have thought of but still, this is the least interesting and way to long video of the three [>>] video playlist.

After getting more involved in this stuff, and thinking more about it, I can't help but think. Instead of putting overhead power lines on motorways for long distance trucks, could we not just get those trucks off the road and put the cargo on to electric trains instead? Then have battery trucks for shorter distance trucking where batteries are a decent option. I know a lot of freight is already carried by rail, but seemingly not enough, as very long-distance trucking, where rail freight is significantly more cost-effective, is still very much a thing and is still carrying a significant amount of freight every year.
